Jill is a vice president and senior consultant at luuceo, focusing on the delivery of sustainable infrastructure projects. Her background is in environmental engineering and she has been working in environmental consultant since 2011. Her early work experience focused on environmental sciences, working on contaminated sites, completing site assessments and remediation programs. From this, she has specialized knowledge in the environmental impacts and opportunities associated with different types of infrastructure projects.

Jill facilitates project teams and organizations develop sustainability goals and establish strategies to meet these goals using sustainability frameworks such as the Envision® framework for sustainable infrastructure. Working with project delivery teams, she helps develop sustainability and resilience strategies, and guides the implementation through all phases of a project. Jill has held an active Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credential since 2018, and has consulted on over 15 Envision projects in a variety of sectors ranging from airports and ports to water and stormwater treatment facilities.

Jill promotes the importance of understanding climate risks to a project and works collaboratively with project teams to develop strategies to improve overall resilience. She is has worked with the Envision Framework, Climate Lens, and has been formally trained in the PIEVC Protocol.

Jill is a registered professional engineer (P. Eng.) with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC), is an accredited Envision Sustainability Professional, Trainer, and Verifier, WELL professional (WELL AP) and a LEED Green Associate.

I have always been passionate about the environment and sustainability. When I was young, I would “reduce, re-use, recycle”. As an adult, I became an Environmental Engineer to leverage this passion into a career. I am now in a position where I can educate others and develop strategies that promote sustainable practices, reducing impacts to the environment and our communities. It is important to me that I continue to learn from my peers and maintain the values I had when I was young. As the Lorax once said “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not”.
